Sunshine Coast NGOs
Working together to optimize the delivery of aid to the communities we serve
NGOs are at the centre of figuring out how people should help people and the planet. Helping is complex and if not done right, can cause damage. Throughout history, humans have continuously improved life and our understanding thereof. Many mistakes were made along the way. Today we have the knowledge and resources to end poverty and all associated development challenges faced by those living in poverty. There is no reason for children to be malnourished, for families to go to bed hungry or for anyone to not have access to ample opportunities whereby they can reach their full potential. Imagine the human potential to be unleashed. It remains to be seen if we can come together and collaborate, making use of the knowledge and resources towards optimising the delivery of aid.
The Sunshine NGO Forum currently consists of over 100 member organisations and development groups. Its purpose is to stimulate collaboration between its members, align development initiatives, build the capacity of its members and work with other sectors such as the government, business and tourism. We are working towards optimizing the delivery of aid in Ndlambe Municipality with a current focus on Port Alfred and Bathurst.Â
The Sunshine NGO Forum is about collaboration. They explore different means to enhance the collaboration between development practitioners and thereby strive to offer the people they serve, the best possible help.
